The American Alligator can be found in lakes, rivers and swamps in the southeastern United States. The body of the alligator is similar to a lizard with very powerful tail and jaws. It’s color is brown, olive, black, brown or gray and white underside. The American Alligator has no vocal cords and it eats fish, turtles, amphibians, birds, snakes and mammals.
